Munir Memorial Lecture (MML) ke-4 dengan tema “Korupsi adalah Kejahatan Hak Asasi Manusia” kali ini akan diselenggarakan di Malang. Acara yang akan diselenggarakan selama seminggu, 21-29 September 2010 ini terselenggara atas kerjasama Universitas Brawijaya (UB) dan KASUM (Komite Aksi Solidaritas Untuk Munir).
Mengawali MML, diadakan Workshop Media, hari ini(22/9). Workshop Media ini diselenggarakan di ruang sidang lantai enam gedung baru Fakultas Hukum (FH) UB. Pembicara yang dihadirkan adalah Dr Ibnu Tri Cahyo SH MH selaku Ketua Pelaksana dan Adhi Panca serta Choirul Anam, perwakilan KASUM.
Acara Workshop ini diisi dengan launching kegiatan MML, serta promosi acara ini. Disamping itu, workshop Media ini juga bertujuan meminta kepada rekan media baik cetak maupun elektronik untuk meliput rangkaian kegiatan MML, menawarkan kepada media untuk memuat komik Munir yang dibuat oleh KASUM, dan menawarkan kepada media elektronik (radio) untuk on air di acara diskusi tematik selama satu minggu.
Acara Puncak MML ke-4 akan diselenggarakan pada Rabu, 29 September 2010, di gedung Samantha Krida. acara yang dimulai jam satu siang ini akan diisi dengan ceramaha umum (public lecture) dari tiga pembicara yaitu Bambang Widjajanto (calon Ketua KPK), A Mukhtie Fadjar (Mantan Wakil ketua MK RI), Prof. Vitit Muntarbhorn (Proffesor di bidang hukum dari Universitas Chulalongkorn, Bangkok).
Selain ceramah umum, juga akan diselenggarakan Lomba Debat SMA se-Malang raya, Lomba Musikalisasi Puisi, Pemutaran dan Bedah film tentang Hak Asasi Manusia (HAM) yang semuanya diselenggarakan di Malang. Sedangkan di kota Batu, tempat kelahiran Munir, akan diadakan Pagelaran Wayang Kulit, Lomba Mewarna dan Menggambar, serta Karnaval.
Munir Memorial Lecture adalah kelas perkuliahan alternatif berbentuk ceramah umum (public lecture) mengenai Hak Asasi Manusia. Kegiatan ini tidak saja ditujukan kepada para aktivis HAM, politisi, penegak hukum, akademisi atau kelompok profesional sebagai pengayaan pengetahuan, namun juga ditujukan pada mahasiswa dan publik luas sebagai bentuk sumbangsih pemikiran pemajuan HAM serta kampanye menolak kekerasan (ai).
